CHAPTER 15.
AN ACT to release James B. Palmer, Daniel
Freil and Stewart R. Emory, securities on the
bond of John Palmer, Collector of State and
County taxes, in the Third Election District of
Queen Anne County, for the year 1866, from
the payment of interest on State tax levied on
said District for said year, 1866.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That James B. Palmer, Daniel Friel
and Stewart R. Emory, securities on the bond of
John Palmer, Collector of State and County taxes,
in the Third Election District of Queen Anne
County, for the year 1866, be and the same are
hereby released from the payment of all interest
on State tax levied on said Third Election District
of Queen Anne County, for said year 1866.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the State's At-
torney for Queen Anne County is hereby em-
powered and directed to withdraw any suit or suits
and stay all legal proceedings which may have
been instituted by order of the Comptroller of the
Treasury against the aforesaid James B. Palmer,
Daniel Freil and Stewart R. Emory, securities as
aforesaid, on the exhibit to him of the receipt of
the Comptroller for the full amount of principal
and the payment of costs attendant on the prose-
cution of the same.

Sec. 3. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
