AN ACT entitled " A Supplement to an Act enti-
tled ' An Act to authorize the persons therein
named to build a Methodist Meeting House on
the Public Grounds in Chestertown, in Kent
County,' " passed at November Session eighteen
hundred and one, Chapter thirty-seven.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, It has been represented to the General
Assembly that it is desirable that the corporate pow-
ers of the Trustees . of the Methodist Episcopal
Church in Chestertown be enlarged, and that the
said Trustees shall have authority to sell, at any-
time, their present Church and that part of the lot
of land now held by them under a grant from the
State, on which the said Church stands, and to
apply the proceeds towards the erection of a new
Church therefor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John N. Usilton, Samuel A.
Smith, William Couyer, James H. Plummer, Wil-
liam H. Lambert, William H. Hamilton and
Thomas W. Eliason, Trustees of the Methodist
Episcopal Church in Chestertown, under the Act
passed at November Session eighteen hundred and
one, Chapter thirty-seven, and the Supplements
thereto passed at December Session eighteen hun-
dred and twenty-nine, Chapter twenty-two, and
January Session eighteen hundred and sixty-four,
Chapter two hundred and seven, and their succes-
