At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun and held at the City
ol Annapolis, on the 5th day of January, 1870, His Excellency, ODEN BOWIE,
being Governor, the following Laws were enacted, to wit:
CHAPTER 1.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Governor
to appoint and commission two additional Jus-
tices of the Peace, for the Second Election Dis-
trict of Frederick County :
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That in addition to the four Justices
of the Peace now required by law to be appointed
for the Second Election District of Frederick
County, there shall be appointed two additional
Justices of the Peace for said District, and the
Governor is hereby authorized and empowered to
appoint and commission two additional Justices of
the Peace for said Second Election District in
Frederick County.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
