pointments agreeably to the nominations.

Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland:

I herewith transmit to you the Executive appointments
made by my predecessor in office during the recess of the
Senate, for Prince gorge's, county:

May 5th, 1868.—Fielder W. Greer, Justice of the Peace,
6th district, vice Jesse Ridgeway, who
failed to qualify.

May 5th, 1868.—James Harris, Justice of the Peace, 3d
district, vice M. G. Slayman, who failed
to qualify.

May 29th, 1868.—Charles C. Hill, Justice of the Peace, 7th
district, vice self, failing to qualify.

June 12th, 1868.—Joseph Hall, Justice of the Peace, 4th
district, vice B. F. Turton, who failed to
qualify.

June 12th, 1869.—John T. W. Compton, Justice of the Peace,
8th district, vice C. H. McPherson, who
failed to qualify.

July 21st, 1868.—Aloysius Hopkins, Justice of the Peace,
7th district, vice C. Hill, who failed
to qualify.

Oct. 14th, 1868.—John N. Minnix, Justice of the Peace, 1st
district, vice self, failing to qualify.

Nov. 28, 1868.— Benton Tolson, Justice of the Peace, 2d
district, vice Thomas Berry, who failed
to qualify.
