The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments agreeably to the nominations.

I herewith transmit to you the Executive appointments
made by my predecessor in office during the recess of the
Senate for Calvert, county :

May 11, 1868.—Carlton B. Kelton, Justice of the Peace for
1st district, vice Wm. S. Dawkins, who
failed to qualify.

May 29, 1868.—John W. Simmons, Justice of the Peace for
2nd district, vice self, failing to qualify.

The aforegoing appointments were ordered to lie over.
