On motion by Mr. Wilson,

The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments, agreeably to the nominations.

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

Annapolis, January 13,1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland:

I herewith transmit to you the Executive appointments
made by me during the recess of the Senate, for Queen Anne's
county:

March 1, 1869.—Samuel T. Earle, Chief Judge of Orphans'

Court, vice John C. Ruth, deceased.

Aug. 13,1869.—Charles W. Weakly, Justice of the Peace
for third district, vice James B. Ruth,
deceased.
