The Senate met pursuant to taking the recess.
Present at roll call, the following Senators :

Miller, Snyder, Wilson—16.

Mr. Clarke submitted the following

REPORT.
To the Senate :

I am instructed by the Joint Committee on Printing to re-
port to the General Assembly, that the total printing, also
the binding and German translation has been done to this
time, and will be completed for the gross sum of forty-two
thousand, two hundred and fifty dollars.

Which is $10,870.00 dollars less than the same work of a
similar character, cost for the session of 1868, when it is re-
collected that there has been a much larger number of bills
and special reports printed during the present session, than
at the last session.

The Committee hope the General Assembly will be satis-
fied with its efforts to reduce and economize in this branch.
