Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills:

A bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the Coun-
ty Commissioners of Washington county to subscribe to the
capital stock of the Marsh Turnpike Company of Washington
county,

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Washington and Harford counties and the first legisla-
tive district of Baltimore city.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal the 83d section of the 20th
Article of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
entitled "Fish and Fisheries in the Patuxent River," and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Parker, Welch and Earle.

A bill entitled an Act for the better protection of birds in
the State of Maryland.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 49, 50, 51 and
52 of Article II, of the Cede of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Frederick County," passed at January session, 1862, chap.
68, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Biggs, Clarke and Henkle.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 85 of Article II, of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick county, sub-title,
"Frederick," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Biggs, Clarke and Henkle.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered, the follow-
