money therein named, to pay the claims of John Murphy &
Co., the heirs-at- law of A.M. Payne, assignee of Seth
Whaley, Thomas B. DeII, Thomas Ferry, C. A. S. Wolf and
others, reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Earle, from the same Committee, to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 41, of Ar-
ticle 56, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled " Li-
censes," sub-title, " Traders," paused January session, 1968,
and to re-enact same so as to read as follows, reported it
without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills:

A bill entitled an Act to confirm and approve the Act
passed at the January session, 1868, chapter 353, entitled
an Act to authorize the Commissioners of Howard county, to
subscribe to the capital stock of Turnpike roads in said
county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Howard, Worcester and Carroll counties.

A bill entitled an Act to appropriate the sum of seven
thousand dollars to pay the various mechanics and others,
the amounts due them for work and labor done, and mate-
rials furnished for the Iron Steamboat for the State Oyster
Police Force..

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Bently Springs
Mining Company,

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Johns Hopkins
Mutual Life Insurance Company of Maryland.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to amend, the Code of Public General
Laws, Article 10, relating to attachments, rind section 4, by
omitting the words relating to citizenship.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee, on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
