NEGATIVE— None. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
The House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 6, 7 and 8,
of Article 98, of Public General Laws, entitled "Wild Fowl,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments. Being on the third reading,
Mr. Maddox submitted the following amendment: Be it enacted, That nothing in this Act shall be construed
to authorize any one to shoot at any time from a sink or
sneak-boats in St. Mary's, Charles, Queen Anne's, Calvert,
Baltimore, Worcester and Harford counties by day or by
night. Which was adopted. Said bill was then read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays, as follows :

NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred House bill entitled an Act to. amend
section 1, of Article 38, of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Fees of Officers," by repealing and re-enacting the
same with amendments, reported it unfavorably.
Said report was ordered to lie over. Mr. Henkle, from the Committee on internal Improve-
ments, to whom was referred House bill entitled an Act to au-
thorize the Franklin Railroad Company, to extend their works
within the limits of the State of Maryland, passed at the
December session 1836, chapter 96, repealing so much of the
1st section of said Act as empowers said Railroad Company
to connect with the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, at or near
Williamsport, and empowering the said Railroad Company
to connect with said Canal at Williamsport, reported it with
the following amendments: Section I, line 3, strike out "76," and insert 79.
