amounts of such bonds upon which payment may be de-
manded.

Amend title of the bill by adding thereto the words : And
to provide for the sale of certain stocks of the State to pay the
holders of said bonds who may demand payment thereof.

The Committee of Conference of the two Houses on the
disagreeing votes of the Senate and House of Delegates on the
House bill numbered 236, recommend that the Senate recede
from the amendment adopted by the Senate, and that the
House bill be passed with the foregoing amendments.

Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred House Joint Resolutions authorizing
the State Librarian to subscribe for two hundred and fifty
copies of Cohen & Campbell's Digest of the Decisions of the
Court of Appeals, reported them without amendment.

Said resolutions were then read the second time.
On motion by Mr. Parker,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for an additional
Justice of the Peace for election district No. 1, for Calvert
county,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
the third reading.
on motion by Mr. Maddox,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of Executive
business, and after atime resumed the consideration of Le-
gislative business.
