tee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 11, chapter 153, of
1868, entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1866, entitled an
Act to incorporate a Company to build a turnpike road from
Union Bridge to Unionville, in Frederick county, and
to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to provide for the creation and regu-
lation of Incorporated Companies in the Slate of Maryland.

Which was read the first time and referred, to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to build a bridge over Jones' Falls,
between the fifth and sixth mile stones on the Falls road, in
Baltimore county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Baltimore, Anne Arundel and Frederick counties.

And returned the Senate bill entitled an Act supplemen-
tary to an Act entitled an Act to make certain improvements
in the vicinity of the Live Stock Scales, and appropriating a
sum of money to pay the Commissioners named therein to
discharge the liabilities incurred thereunder,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

The following bills having passed both branches of the
General Assembly, were this day presented to the Governor
for his approval:

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Cumberland Coal
and Iron Company to distribute certain of its assets among
its stockholders and to reduce its capital.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the National Co-Ope-
rative Business Agency Company.

The President announced a message from his Excellency,
Gov. Bowie, by the hands of R. C. Hollyday, Esq., Secretary
of State, endorsed: ' 'Executive nominations."

The Senate then proceeded to the consideration of the un-
finished business of the evening session.

The question being upon the amendment submitted by Mr.
Jump, to the House bill entitled an Act to provide a general
system of Public Instruction throughout the State,
