The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES.

March 30th 1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

The House of Delegates have considered the amendments
proposed by your Honorable Body, to the House bill relating
to a sale of the property of the Maryland Hospital, and do
not concur therein, and ask a Committee of Conference upon
the bill.

We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs. Mer-
rick, McLane and Hardcastle, of Talbot.

Which was read.

Mr. Henkle submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

March, 31, 1870.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message proposing a Committee of
Conference to consider the amendments to House bill relating.
to the sale of the Maryland Hospital, and concur therein.

We have appointed upon the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Henkle and Kimmel.
By order,
AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,
Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.
Also the following bills ;

A bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the Trus-
tees of the Lower West Nottingham Presbyterian Church, ill
Cecil county, or their successors, to receive by conveyance a
lot of ground as an addition to the grove surrounding said
church.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Cecil, Worcester and Carroll counties.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act passed 1864, enti-
tled an Act to divide No. 10, or Straight's district, in Dor-
chester county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Dorchester, Caroline and Wicomico counties.

A bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act passed.
