The House bill entitled an Act providing tor the sale of
the Maryland Hospital in Baltimore city, &c.,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Biggs, Parker,
Clarke, Sellman,
Earle, Snyder,
Fields, Spates,
Henkle, Timmons,
Jump, Welch,
Miller, Wilson—14.

NEGATIVE—Mr. Hyland—1.
Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 171 and
172, of Article 16, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's county, title "Sheriff," and to re-enact section 171
of the same,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
the third reading.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to prevent the sale of
spirituous liquors within one mile of Warren Factory, in
Baltimore county,

Was read the second time.

The question then recurred upon the engrossment of said
bill.

On the question being put,
It was determined in the negative.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to whom the
leave was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to pay M.
A. Newell, the sum of $620 for clerical assistance, hired by
him to aid in preparing two annual reports upon the condi-
tion of the Public Schools of the State.

Which was read the first time.

The Senate bill entitled an Act for the protection of sheep,
and to tax dogs in Baltimore county,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.
