EVENING SESSION.
TUESDAY, March 29, 1870, 8 o'clock, P. M.
The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.
Present at roll call the following Senators:

Messrs. President, Biggs, Carroll, Clarke, Denson, Earle,
Fields, Henkle, Hyland, Jump, Kimmel, Malone, Miller,
Parker, Sellman, Snyder, Spates, Stephenson, Timmons,
Welch, Wilson—20.

On motion by Mr. Malone,

The Senate was called, and the Sergeant-at-Arms directed
to inform absent Senators that their presence was required
in the Senate Chamber.

On motion by Mr. Malone,
Further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of the veto mes-
sage of the Governor with his objections to the Senate bill en-
titled an Act to amend Article 22, of the Code of Public Local
Laws for Wicomico county, by adding several new sections
thereto, entitled an Act to extend the corporate limits of
Salisbury, and to enlarge the powers of the town Commission-
ers of said town, to come in after 21 of said Article.

The President stated the question to be "Shall the bill
pass, the objections of the Governor to the contrary notwith-
standing?"

On the question being put,

It was determined in the negative by yeas and nays, as
