NEGATIVE—None.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the

Joint Resolutions authorizing the Comptroller to examine

and settle the accounts for arming, equipping and uniform-
ing the Militia.

Which was read the first time and referred, to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

The following bills having passed both branches of the
General Assembly were this day presented to the Governor

for his approval:

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Adjutant General
to furnish arms for the use of the Maryland Agricultural
College.

A bill entitled an Act Supplementary to an Act for the
establishment of an Academy at Elkton, in Cecil county.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1868,
chapter 406, entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1867, chap-
ter 184, entitled an Act to repeal Article 71, of the Code of
Public General Law , entitled "Oysters," and to re-enact

the same with amendments,

Being upon the second reading,
"Mr. Henry submitted the following amendments :

In section 12, line 5, strike out the word " therein," and
insert thereof in lieu of it.

In section 16, line 5, after county insert the words or
lying between two or more counties.

In section 30, line 4, after the word "Article," insert the

words or any oysters growing on any grounds appropriated

according to the provisions of said sections.

Which were severally read and adopted.
The sections, as amended, were then read and adopted.
Mr. Earle submitted the following amendment:

Section 32, amend line 19, by striking out the word

"'fifty," and insert in lieu thereof the word one hundred,
and by striking out in line 20, the words: " one hundred,"
and inserting in lieu thereof the word two.

Which was read and adopted.
The section, as amended, was then read tod adopted.
Mr. Henkle submitted the following amendment :
