Which was read and referred to the Special Investigating
Committee.

Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal
an Act entitled an Act to amend Article 29 of the Code of
Public General Laws of the State of Maryland, adding there-
to the following sections, and relating to the liens of judg-
ments rendered in the Circuit Courts for Somerset and Wor-
cester counties, and substitute in lieu thereof the following,
reported it with the following amendment :

Strike out the 16th section.
Which was read and adopted.

Said bill; as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with an
amendment, section 171, of Article 93, of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled "Testamentary Law," and relating
to the powers of the Orphans' Courts, reported it with the
following amendment:

Insert after the word "in," in line 4, section 171, the
words: mortgage on unincumbered real estate worth at least
double the amount loaned, "or."

Which was read and adopted.

The section, as amended, was then read and adopted.
Said bill was then read the second time.

Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland, to the bequest of Stephen
Rigdon, late of Harford county, deceased, to the Trustees of
the Rock Ridge Regular Baptist Society or Church, in said
county, reported it with the following amendment

Add at the end of the first section, the following words :
Provided, that nothing contained in this Act shall be con-
strued to affect any suit at law or legal proceeding now pend-
ing in any Court of this State, in relation to the property
devised as aforesaid.
