the Code of General Laws, under the head of revenue and
Taxes, and to re-enact inlieu thereof the following.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Miller, from the Select Committee to whom was refer-
red. House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
present Trustees of the Lower West Nottingham Presby-
terian Church, or their successors, to receive and hold by
conveyance from William Little, three acres of land in Cecil
county, reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred House
bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commissioners
of Cecil county to levy a sum of money to pay the Crier and
Bailiffs of the Circuit Court of said county, reported it with-
out amendments.

Said bill was then read the second time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered, the follow-
ing bills:

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor to appoint
an additional Justice of the Peace for the 4th and 5th elec-
tion districts of Montgomery county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Montgomery, Calvert and Somerset counties.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town of Keedys-
ville, in Washington county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Washington and Harford counties, and the 1st Legis-
lative District of Baltimore city.

A bill entitled an Act to regulate the trial fees of the
State's Attorney for Kent county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators

from Kent, Queen Anne's and Somerset counties.

 
Abill entitled an Act to regulate and make uniform the
compensation of the Judges of the Orphans' Courts of the
several counties, and to fix the compensation of the Judges of
the Orphans' Courts of Baltimore city, in pursuance of the
4th section of Article 4, of the Constitution.
