Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
was recommitted House bill entitled an Act to amend the
Act of 1866, chapter 156, entitled an Act to establish the
"Maryland Industrial School for Girls," byproviding for
the appointment of State Directors therein, and the exercise
thereby of the powers of a Female House of Refuge, reported
it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Also, from the same Committee, to whom was recommit-
ted House bill entitled an Act to repeal the 7th and 8th sec-
tions of an Act to incorporate the Baltimore Permanent
Building and Land Society, passed at January session, 1867,
chapter 358, reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the St. Paul's Savings
Bank of Baltimore, reported it without amendment,

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to whom the
leave was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to autho-
rize the Comptroller and Treasurer to dispose of certain
State's stock, with the approbation of the Governor.

Which was read the first time.

Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act making appropriations for the sup-
port of the Government for the year ending January 1, 1872,
reported it with the following amendments :

Under head of "Baltimore City," line 11, after the word
"Academy," strike out "fifteen hundred dollars" and insert
seven hundred and fifty dollars, and to J. M. Gramlich the
sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars for the use of the Ger-
man Catholic School of Cumberland.

Which was read and adopted by yeas and nays, as follows:
