On motion by Mr. Henkle,

The vote was reconsidered by which the House bill entitled
an Act to amend the charter of the City of Annapolis, was
passed.

Mr. Henkle submitted the following amendment:

Amend by inserting inline 2, page 6, section 40, after the
word "city," the words: or for paying its present debts.

Which was read and adopted.
The section, as amended, was then read and adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the third time and
passed by yeas and nays, as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Browne, Jump,
Clarke, Malone,
Denson, Sellman,
Earle, Snyder,
Fields, Spates,
Henkle, Timmons,
Henry, Welch,
Hyland, Wilson—16.
NEGATIVE—None.
Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
On motion by Mr. Timmons,

Leave of absence was granted to the Senator from Carroll'
county for Tuesday and Wednesday.

On motion by Mr. Browne,

Leave of absence was granted to S. W. Selby, Assistant
Door-keeper, for Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bill:

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 86 of Article 4, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled " Baltimore City,"
sub-title, "Streets," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Baltimore city.

Mr. Henry asked and was excused from attending the
evening session this evening.

The House bill entitled an Act to amend Article 46, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title, "Inebriates," by adding
thereto the following section,
