Mr. Clarke moved that the further consideration of said.
bill be postponed until Monday evening.

On the question being put,
It was determined in the affirmative.

Mr. Clarke, from the Select Committee, to whom the leave
was granted, reported a bill 'entitled, an Act for the better
protection of sheep in Baltimore county, and to tax dogs in
said county.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Henkle, from the Committee on Internal Improvements,
to whom was referred the report and accompanying state-
ments of the Annapolis & Elk Ridge Railroad, asked, to be
discharged from the consideration thereof, and that said report
be printed.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to whom the
leave was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to pay the
claims of Henry Brooke, G. C. Magruder, Jr., and J. N. W.
Wilson, recommended by the Comptroller of the Treasury.

Which was read the first time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills:

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the St. Paul's Savings
Bank of Baltimore.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the pre-
gent Trustees of the West Nottingham Presbyterian Church,
or their successors, to receive and hold by conveyance from
Wm. Little, three acres of land in Cecil county, to be used
as a cemetery, and to hold the same in trust for said purpose.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Sena-
tors from Cecil, Howard and Carroll counties.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with an
amendment, section 171, of Article 93, of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled "Testamentary Law," and relating
to the powers of the Orphans' Courts.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act for the relief of the Switzer Bridge
Company and Richard S. Stewart, and authorizing the
