Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptrol-
ler to pay over to the School Commissioners of Howard coun-
ty the arrearages due from the Academic Fund, and to pay
annually to said county the amount due from such fund,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing messages:

March 25,1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received, your message informing this House of
the adoption, by the Senate, of unfavorable reports on House
bills Nos. 190 and 318, for the relief of Margaret Armstrong
and John H. B. Latrobe, and non-concur therein.

We ask your Honorable Body to appoint a Committee of
Conference to consider the same.

We have appointed on the part of this House Messrs. Mc-
Lane, Merrick and Kilbourn.

Gentlemen of the Senate :

The House of Delegates have received and considered the
House bill entitled an Act to provide for the renewal of cer-
tain bonds and certificates of indebtment of the State already
due and others falling due in the year 1870, with certain
amendments thereto adopted by the Senate, and non-concur
in the amendments of the Senate, and ask a Committee of
Conference.

We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs. Mer-
rick, McLane and Kilbourn.
