And returned the Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize
the Adjutant General to furnish arms for the use of the Mary-
land Agricultural College,

Endorsed, "Considered, Senate proposed amendments to
House amendments adopted, and the bill, as amended, passed
byyeas and nays."

On motion by Mr. Timmons,

Leave was granted to the Senators from Worcester, Cecil
and Howard counties to introduce a bill to incorporate the
Newtown Gas Company.

On motion by Mr. Timmons,

Leave was granted to the Senators from Worcester, Cecil
and Howard counties to introduce a bill to incorporate the
Snow Hill Gas Light Company.

On motion by Mr. Clarke,

Leave was granted to the Senators from Baltimore, Anne
Arundel and Frederick counties, to introduce a bill entitled
an Act to incorporate the Towsontown Gas Light Manufac-
turing Company.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Salis-
bury Navigation, Towing and Wharf Company,

Being on the third reading,

Two-thirds of all the Senators present concurring,
Mr. Clarke submitted the following amendment:
Section 10, amend by striking out section 10.
Which was read and adopted.
On motion by Mr, Clarke,

The vote was reconsidered by which said amendment was
adopted.

Mr. Clarke withdrew said amendment.
Mr. Clarke submitted the following amendment :
Section 10, line 3, after the word "all," strike out State.
Which was read and adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to whom the
leave was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to add
another section to the Act, entitled an Act to authorize the
Comptroller of the Treasury to adjust and settle the accounts
due by Collectors, Sheriffs, Registers and other receivers of
