Leave was granted to the Committee on Labor and Agri-
culture to report a bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 250,
251, 252, 253, 254, 255, 256, 257, 258, 259 and 260, of
Article 4, Public Local Laws, sub-title "Foreign Passen-
gers," and to re-enact the following in lieu thereof.

On motion by Mr. Snyder,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland
Commercial and Steamship Company of Baltimore, and more
particularly to establish a line of Steamers and other vessels
from Baltimore, in the State of Maryland, to Galveston, in
the State of Texas, and other ports, and for other business
purposes connected therewith.

Mr. Miller presented the petition of sundry citizens of Port
Deposit, in Cecil county, relating to the town limits of Port
Deposit.

Which was read and referred to the Senators from Cecil,
Carroll and Worcester counties.

On motion by Mr. Miller,

Leave was granted to the Senators from Cecil, Carroll and
Worcester counties to bring in a bill entitled an Act to re-
peal section 146, of Article 8, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, entitled "Cecil County," and relating to the village
of Port Deposit, and re-enact the same with amendments.

Mr. Biggs, from the Committee on Labor and Agriculture
to whom the leave was granted, reported a bill entitled an
Act to repeal sections 250 to 260, both inclusive, of Article 4,
Code of Public Local Laws, sub-title "Foreign Passengers,"
and re-enact the following' in lieu thereof.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
the leave was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to in-
corporate the Emmittsburg Gas Light Company.

Which was read the first time.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend section 62, of Ar-
ticle 81, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the
redemption of real estate sold for taxes, as amended by the
Act of 1862, chapter 123,

Was read the second time an I ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article 81 of the
Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Revenue and Taxes,"
by adding sub-sections 5 and 6 to section 34 of Article 81,
