briates," by adding thereto the following section, reported
it without amendment.
Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Wilson, from the Select Committee to whom the leave
was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to repeal the
21st and 23d sections of Article 50 of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled "Jurors," so far as relates to Prince
George's county; and to enact the following.
Which was read the first time. Mr. Biggs, from the Select Committee to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act to add additional sections
to Article 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Frede-
rick county, relating to the powers and duties of the
Mayor, Aldermen and Common Council of Frederick city, to
follow section 169, added thereto by the Act of 1868, chapter
87, reported it with the following amendments : Section 172, line 6, after the word "creek," insert for the
funding of the debt already created ; and in line 7, after the
word "straightening," insert as may be hereafter incurred.
In line 9, strike out "one hundred," and insert fifty.
Section 173, strike out all after the word "hours," in the
12th line, to the end of the section.
Which were severally read and adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.
The sections, as amended, were then read and adopted.
Also, from the same Committee, to' whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act to change the name and style of
the Trustees of the Central School in Frederick county, and
to repeal the Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Trustees
of said school, reported it without amendment. Said bill was then read the second time.
Mr. Snyder, from the Select Committee to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled entitled an Act to authorize the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to fund the floating
debt of the city to an amount not exceeding eight hundred
thousand dollars, reported it without amendment.
Said bill was then read the second time.
On motion by Mr. Carroll, The regular order of business was suspended, and. the Sen-
ate proceeded to the consideration of the House bill entitled
an Act to repeal the Act of 1868, chapter 414, entitled an
Act to repeal an Act entitled an Act to repeal Article 63 of
the Code of Public General Laws, relating to Militia, &c.
Said bill being upon the third reading.
