The House bill entitled an Act to lay off streets in Balti-
more county, adjoining Baltimore city, and to repeal certain
Acts inconsistent therewith,

Being on its third reading,
Mr. Clarke submitted the following amendment :

Amend bystriking outfall after the word "passage," in
the second line, section twelve.

Which was read and adopted.
The section, as amended, was read and adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read a third time and
passed by yeas and nays, as follows :

Fields, Spates,
Henry, Stephenson,

NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.
On motion by Mr. Henry, (and by unanimous consent,)

Leave was granted to the Senators from Dorchester, Wi-
comico, and Caroline counties, to introduce a bill to author-
ize the Commissioners of Cambridge to endorse and guaran-
tee the bonds of the Cambridge Harbor, Internal Navigation
and Wharf Company, to an amount not exceeding ten thou-
sand dollars.

On motion by Mr. Henry,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to provide for the payment to Alfred J. Mobray,
late collector of State taxes for the 7th and 13th districts of
Dorchester county, of the sum of $38.68 overpaid by him
into the Treasury.

On motion by Mr. Henry,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to exempt from liability from execu-
tion and distress for rent, of sewing machines owned by
seamstresses.
