On motion by Mr. Henkle,

The vote by which the bill was lost was reconsidered.
On motion by Mr. Henkle,
Said bill was ordered to lie on the table.

The following bills having passed both branches of the
General Assembly, were this day submitted to bis Excel-
lency, the Governor, for his approval.

An Act to amend the Act of 1853, chapter 194, entitled
an Act to incorporate the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad
Company, and to repeal the second section of the Act of 1860,
chapter 71, and to extend the time for the completion of the
Baltimore and Potomac Railroad.

An Act to amend an Act entitled "An Act to incorporate
the Parkton and Manchester Railroad Company," passed at
the January session, A. D., 1868.

The President announced that the hour had arrived for
taking up the oilier of the day.

The question being upon the adoption of the unfavorable
report of the Committee on Finance, on the House Joint Re-
solutions in reference to the claim of the State against the
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company,

On motion by Mr. Henkle,

The further consideration of the subject was postponed
until to-morrow, at 12 o'clock, and made the order of the day.

On motion by Mr. Henkle,
The Senate adjourned.

THURSDAY, March 3,1870.
The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.
Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Henderson.
Present at roll call the following Senators :

Messrs. President, Biggs, Browne, Carroll, Denson, Earle,
Fields, Hyland, Jump, Malone, Miller. Snyder, Timmons,
Welch, Wilson—15.

The Journal of yesterday was read and approved.
