Also, favorably,

A bill, entitled an Act to add new sections to Article 51 of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Justices of the
Peace," as amended by the'Act of 1868, chapter 443.

Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction of the Gene-
ral Assembly of Maryland to the bequest of Stephen Rigdon,
late of Harford county, deceased, to the Trustees of the Rock-
ridge Regular Baptist Society or Church, in said county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Morse, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably a bill entitled an Act to incorporate
Mount Hope Retreat, in Baltimore county.

Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 164, 165,167, and
169, of an Act passed January session, 1868, chapter 87, en-
titled an Act to add additional sections to Article 11 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick county, relating to
the powers and duties of the Mayor, Aldermen and Common
Council of Frederick, to follow section 161, and to substitute
in lieu of sections 164, 165,167, and 169, the following.

Which was read a firat time and referred to the Frederick
county delegation.

Also, favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Cecil Fire Brick
Company in Cecil county.

Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 12 and
15 of an Act passed January session, 1867) chapter 298, en-
titled an Act to incorporate the Pennsylvania Line Railroad
Company, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which had been referred to said Committee this day.
Whereupon,

Mr, Bowlus moved that the bill be read a second time un-
der the provisions of section 27, Articles, of the Constitution.
