The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the

The President announced the Senate bill entitled an Act
to provide a new Code of the Statute Laws of the State, and
to appropriate a sum of money for that purpose,

On motion by Mr. Henkle,

Said bill was ordered to be postponed until to-morrow,
the 24th inst.
On motion by Mr. Earle,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of Executive
business, and after a time, resumed the consideration of
Legislative business.

The President announced a communication from his Ex-
cellency, Governor Bowie, through the hands of R. C. Holly-
day, Esq., Secretary of State.

The Senate then resumed the consideration of Executive-business,
and after a time resumed the consideration of Le-
gislative business.
