or other packages, having the Inspector's mark thereon, and
which have already been used for that purpose; and any
person violating the provisions of this section, shall forfeit
and pay the sum of fifty dollars for each offence, to be re-
covered by indictment in the Criminal Court of Baltimore
city, one-half for the use of the informer, and the other half
for the use of the State.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted. That this Act shall not be con-
strued to apply to fertilizers or manures which may be sold
at a less price than one cent per pound.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That the salary of the Inspector
shall not exceed the sum of twenty-five hundred dollars,
which said salary and the expenses of analysis, advertising
and other necessary expenses, shall be paid out of the fees of
the office, and the residue to be paid to the State Treasurer,
in accordance with the 15th Article of the Constitution, but
in no case shall any money be taken from the Treasury to
defray the expenses of said office.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That the said Inspector shall
charge and collect, from the importer, manufacturer, con-
signee or seller, at the rate of thirty cents per ton, for every
ton of fertilizers analyzed and inspected under the provisions
of this Act.

SEC. 12. And ie it enacted, That all Acts inconsistent with
this Act, be, and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

On motion by Mr. Henkle,

Said amendment was ordered to be printed in bill form.
Said bill was then ordered to be postponed.
On motion by Mr. Henry, and by unanimous consent,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to add additional sections to Article 81, of the
Code of Public General Laws. title, "Revenue and Taxes,"
and to provide for the purchase of real estate by County Com-
missioners at Collector's sales.

On motion by Mr. Hyland, and by unanimous consent,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to amend section sixty-two of Article
eighty-one, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
the redemption of real estate sold for taxes, as amended by
the Act of eighteen hundred and sixty-two, chapter one
hundred and thirty-three.

On motion by Mr. Henry, and by unanimous consent,
