The House bill entitled an Act to provide for the better
protection of Mocking Birds in Dorchester county,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. President, Maddox,
Biggs, Malone,
Browne, Miller,
Clarke, Parker,
Earle, Sellman,
Fields, Snyder,
Grove, Spates,
Henry, Welch,
Kimmel, Wilson—18.

NEGATIVE—None.
Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred House bill entitled an Act to authorize
the Governor to appoint a Notary Public in the town of
Princess Anne, Somerset county, reported it without amend-
ment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Grove, from the Select Committee to whom the leave
was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to protect birds
of every description in the county of Washington, excepting
owls and hawks.

Which was read the first time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills:

A bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money for
the purchase of a lot of ground in which to inter the remains
of the Confederate soldiers who died at Point Lockout, in St.
Mary's county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Miners' Bank of
Frostburg.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.
