Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.
On motion by Mr. Miller,

The vote by which the bill entitled an Act in relation to
the killing of cattle was ordered to be engrossed for a third
reading,

Was reconsidered.
Mr. Miller submitted the following amendment :

Amend by inserting after the word " person," in the
6th line of the 1st section, the words, and not in the act of
trespassing on his enclosures.

Which was read and adopted.
The section, as amended, was read and adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time, and

ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
On motion by Mr. Clarke, it was
Ordered, That William Quinby have leave of absence till

next Tuesday, in order to visit his family.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of Ar-
ticle 49, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Joint
Obligations and Joint Tenancy," and to re-enact the same
with amendments,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.

Biggs, Miller,
Carroll, Parker,
Denson, Sellman,
Earle, Snyder,
Fields, Spates,
Henkle, Timmons,
Jump, Welch—16.

NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1863,
chapter 234, relating to the annual donation of five hundred
dollars to the West Nottingham Academy, in Cecil county,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
