NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Clarke,
The Senate adjourned.

WEDNESDAY, February 16,1870.
The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.
Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Hildt.
Present at roll call the following Senators :

Messrs. Biggs, Browne, Denson, Fields, Hyland, Jump,
Kimmel, Maddox, Miller, Parker, Sellman, Snyder, Spates,
Stephenson, Timmons, Welch, Wilson—17.

The Journal of yesterday was read and approved.

Mr. Wilson presented the petition of Sarah Clements, Z.
Shaw, and 38 citizens of Prince George's county, praying
that a pension may be granted to said Sarah Clements.

Which was referred to the Committee on Pensions.

Mr. Maddox presented the petition of Annie Norris, ask-
ing for a pension.

Which was read and 'referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Browne presented the petition of the "Western Mary-
land College," praying a State donation.

Which was referred to the Committee on Finance.
