NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
On motion by Mr. Malone,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of Executive
business, and after a time, resumed the consideration of Le-
gislative business.
On motion by Mr. Malone,
The Senate adjourned.

TUESDAY, February 15,1870.
The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.
Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Hildt.
Present at roll call the following Senators :

Messrs. Biggs, Browne, Carroll, Denson, Earle, Fields,
Hyland, Jump, Malone, Miller, Parker, Snyder, Stephenson,
Timmons, Welch—15.
The Journal of yesterday was read and approved.

Mr. Miller presented the petition of Mrs. Sophia Ford,
widow of John H. Ford, a soldier of the war of 1812, asking
for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Clarke presented the petition of Hugh O'Conner and
50 other voters of the 8th election district of Baltimore coun-
ty, praying that no law may be enacted to prevent stock
from running at large.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred House bill entitled an Act to repeal
section 619, of Article 4, of the Public Local Laws, entitled
