On this 7th day of February, A. D., 1870, before me, the
subscriber, one of the State of Maryland Justices of the
Peace, in and for said city, came George H. Williams, and
made oath in due form of law, that the aforegoing abstract
of accounts is true as stated, to the best of his knowledge and
belief.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

On motion by Mr. Biggs,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to refund Abraham Grabill, of Frederick county,
certain State taxes erroneously paid by him into the Trea-
sury, for the years 1866 and 1867.

On motion by Mr. Spates,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to add additional section to the 13th
Article of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Crimes
and Punishments," relating to killing cattle.

On motion by Mr. Spates,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to amend an Act entitled "An Act to incor-
porate the Equitable Gas Light Company of Baltimore city,"
passed at January session, 1867, chapter 132.

On motion by Mr. Sellman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Fell's Point Gas Com-
pany of Baltimore city.

On motion by Mr. Stephenson, it was

Ordered, That the Committee on Internal Improvements
be directed to inquire into the expediency of having estab-
