Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The following Senate bills were this day presented to his
Excellency, Governor Bowie, for approval,

An Act to refund Alexander Brown & Sons, of the City of
Baltimore, agents of Brown, Shipley and Company, of Lon-
don, the sum of fifty-eight pounds, sixteen shillings and ten
pence in gold, amounting in currency to four hundred dollars
and ninety cents, for money erroneously paid by them into
the Treasury on or about the 1st of July 1867.

An Act to repeal section 3, of chapter 246, passed at the
January session 1868, entitled an Act to aid in the establish-
ment of a Hospital in connection with the Washington Uni-
versity of Baltimore, and to appropriate money for the same,
and re-enact the same to read as follows.

An Act to release James B. Palmer, Daniel Friel and
Stewart R. Emory, securities on the bond of John Palmer,
Collector of State and county Taxes in the 3rd election dis-
trict of Queen Anne's county for the year 1866, from the pay-
meat of interest on State tax levied on said district for said
year 1866.

The hour having arrived for taking up the orders of the day,
the President announced,

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 345 and 346,
of chapter 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws, of Frederick
county, sub-title "Woodsboro'," and re-enact the same with
amendments.
On motion by Mr. Snyder,

Said bill was ordered to be postponed, and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings.

The House bill enticed an Act to provide for the better
protection of Mocking Birds in Dorchester county,
