Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 162, 163,
164, 165, 166, 167, 168, 169, 170, and 171, of Article 6 of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Caroline County,"
sub-title "Roads," and to substitute therefor the following,

Being on its third reading.
Mr. Earle submitted the following amendment :

Section 162, line 8, after the word "the," strike out all
to the word "and," in said line, and insert in lien thereof,
the following : 1st day of January, 1871.

Which was read and adopted.

Said bill; as amended, was then passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Browne, Malone,
Denson; Parker,
Earle, Bellman,
Fields, Snyder,
Grove, Stephenson,
Henry, Welch—13.
Jump,
NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled
an Act to provide for the better protection of partridges in
Washington county, passed at the January session, 1868,
chapter 21, and re-enact the same with amendments,

Being upon its third reading, was,
On motion by Mr. Grove,
Ordered to lie over until Friday next.

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 204, of
Article 21, of the Public Local Laws for Washington county,
relating to Justices of the Peace and Constables in said
county, and re-enact the same as amended,
Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as

follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.
