On motion by Mr. Grove,

Leave was granted to Senators Grove, Kimmell and Ste-
phenson to introduce a bill to prevent the killing of any in-
sectiverous birds in this State prior to the year 1872.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
leave had been granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to
amend an Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Emmetts-
burg Railroad Company.
Which was read the first time.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
had been referred House bill entitled an Act to amend an Act
passed January session, 1860, entitled an Act to incorporate
the Carrollton Avenue Company, reported it without amend-
ment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
was referred the House bill entitled an Act to add additional
sections to an Act passed at the December session, 1849,
chapter 377, entitled an Act to incorporate a Company to
make a Turnpike Road from Williamsport, in Washington
county, to the Pennsylvania line, in the direction of Green-
castle in Franklin county, Pennsylvania, reported it without
amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
had been referred House bill, entitled an Act to amend the
charter of the town of Leitersburg, Maryland, reported it with-
out amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
had been referred House bill, entitled a supplement to an
Act passed by the General Assembly of Maryland, at Janu-
ary session, 1868, chapter 424, entitled an Act to incorporate
the town of Berlin, reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
was referred House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 2,
of chapter 100, passed at the January session of the General
Assembly, 1867, entitled an Act to incorporate the Trustees
of the Baptist Church, at Jones' Mill, in Dorchester county,
and re-enact the said section, so as to read as follows, re-
ported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.
