The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-

widow of Thomas W. Bassford, asking for a pension,

Mr. Wilson presented the petition of Mary Higgins, of
Prince George's county, for a pension,

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Welch presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Kent, asking an increase in the fees of Magistrates in said
county,
