We have appointed on the part of the House Messrs. Kil-
bourn, Hammond and Carroll.

Which was read, assented "to, and sent to the Senate.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day, being the Joint Resolution in reference to the claim of
the State against the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad,

Mr. Marbury, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the
following order :

Ordered, That the order making the Resolutions offered
by the Chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means, di-
recting the Attorney General to institute proceedings in the
name of the State against the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad,
be postponed in view of the fact that voluminous documents
have been presented by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, and
the opinion of the Attorney General for the consideration of
this House, and that the same be made the order of the day
for Wednesday next, at 1 o'clock, February 2d.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Kilbourn (the rules being suspended) submitted the
following order :

Ordered, That no bill shall be put on its second reading
until the same shall have been printed and furnished to this
House.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Kilbourn (the rules being suspended) presented the
petition of William Harwood for relief as therein stated.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

On motion of Mr. Sanner,

At one o'clock and fifteen minutes P. M., the House ad-
journed until to-morrow morning, at eleven o'clock.
