24 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 13,

On motion by Mr. Grove, and by unanimous consent, it
was

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that if the
Senator representing Washington county had been present
when the vote was taken on the amendment offered by the
Senator from Baltimore city, proposing a later day for the elec-
tion of Treasurer, he would have voted in the affirmative.

On motion by Mr. Spates,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of Executive
business, and after a time resumed the consideration of the
Legislative business.

On motion by Mr. Clarke, and by unanimous consent,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to repeal section 2 of the Act of 1867,
chapter 329, respecting the drawing of Jurors in Baltimore
county, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion by Mr. Clarke,
The Senate adjourned.

THURSDAY, January 13,1870.
The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.
Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Henderson.
Present at roll call the following Senators :

Messrs. President, Biggs, Brown, Clarke, Earle, Fields,
Hyland, Jump, Malone, Sellman, Snyder, Spates, Stephen-
son, Timmons, Welch, Wilson—16.

Mr. Welch presented the petition of citizens of Still Pond,
in Kent county, praying the passage of a law prohibiting the
sale of intoxicating liquors in Still Pond village, and a circuit
of two and a half miles of said. village.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

On potion by Mr. Snyder, it was

Ordered, That an entry be made upon the Journal that
Senator Denson is absent from his seat in consequence of
sickness.
