A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments, section 170, Article 30, Public General Laws, entitled
"Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Rivers."

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 282, of Article 93,
of the supplement to Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Testamentary Law," and re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Morse, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal so much of section 12,
Chapter 267 of the Act passed March 1860, entitled an Act
to incorporate a Company to open in part, and improve the
road from Frederick city in Frederick county, to the Spout
Spring, &c., as relates to rates of toll, and enact the fol-
lowing.

Which was read a first time, and referred to the Frederick
county delegation.

Mr. Colton, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, re-
ported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to refund to J. S. McOartney, of
Hagerstown, Washington county, the sum of twenty-five
dollars, erroneously paid into the Treasury of the State.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Colton, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, report-
ed favorably, a bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay John L. Smith, Tax Collector of Talbot coun-
ty, for overpayment into the Treasury for the year 1867.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Merrick, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably the Senate bill, entitled an Act to
repeal section three of Chapter 256, passed at the January
session 1868, entitled, an Act to aid in the establishment of
a Hospital in connection with the Washington University of
Baltimore, and to appropriate money for the same and to re-
enact the same to read as follows.

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Merrick, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably, the Senate bill entitled an Act to
release Jas. B. Palmer, Daniel Freil and Stewart R. Emory,
