Mr. Wilmer presented the petition of Richard C. Johnson
and 30 others, citizens of Kent county, praying the passage
of a law requiring the County Commissioners of said county
to levy a sum of money for the purpose of widening the
streets at Massey'b Cross iloads.

Which was read, and referred to Messrs. Wilmer, Beck
and Hammond.

Mr. Lake presented the petition of Wm. L. Biscoe and 14
other citizens of St. Mary's county, praying the passage of a
law to appropriate a sum of money to erect a monumental
obelisk on the site of the old Colonial State House in St.
Mary's county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Shipley presented the petition of Thomas Warfield,
asking the payment of a certain sum of money.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Brattan presented the petition of John S. Sudler, B.
K. Green, and 130 other citizens of Potato Neck District,
(No. 6,) in Somerset county, asking for a prohibitory liquor
law in said district.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Brattan, Lankford
and Dennis.

Mr. Markland presented the petition of A. McComas and
sundry others, in relation to the destruction of Wild Fowl.

Which was read and on motion of Mr. Markland referred
to Messrs. Markland, Wobb, Hopkins, Chapman and Gatch.

Mr. Sanner presented the petition of Lewis L. Barranger
and thirty-two citizens, for the protection of Wild Fowl in
this State.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.

Mr. Ehlen presented a petition from Wm. A. Gumming
and twenty-four others, for the better protection of Wild
Fowl.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.

Mr. Collins presented a petition from S. M. Evans and
others, for the better protection of Wild Fowl.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.
