Mr. Webb gave notice that he would, on to-morrow, move
to rescind the standing order requiring the House to meet at
12 o'clock, noon, so as to meet hereafter at 11 o'clock, A. M.

On motion of Mr. Sanner,

The House, at 2 1/2 o'clock, P. M., adjourned until to-morrow
at 12 o'clock, M.

TUESDAY, January 25, 1870.

The House met, and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Doctor Edwards.

Present at the call of the roll the following members :

The Journal of yesterday was lead.

The following communication was received from his Ex-
cellency, the Governor, per hands of R. C. Holly day, Esq.,
Secretary of State, together with accompanying papers.

STATE OF MARYLAND,
EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

Annapolis, Jan. 24, 1870.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates of Maryland;

I herewith transmit to you the resolutions of the Legisla-
ture of the State of Ohio, rejecting the proposed 15th, amend-
ment to the Constitution of the United States.

ODEN BOWIE.

Which were severally read, and referred to the Committee
on Federal Relations.

Mr. Gatch presented the petition of George Yellott, Jas.
W. Owings, and 40 others, asking for an alteration in the
law relating to summonses by Constables.
