1182 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 31,

Code of Public Local Laws for the City of Baltimore, title
"Inspections," from section 272 to section 567, also the fol-
lowing Acts supplementary and amendatory thereto, to wit:

The Act of 1861, chapter 35, Acts of 1862, chapters 116,
199, 254 and 283, Acts of 1864, chapters 189 328, 339, 346,
36y and 384, Acts of 1866, chapters 6, 165, 192 and 194,
Acts of 1867, chapters 148, 241, 368 and 381, and Acts of
1868, chapters 128, 295 and 458.

Said bill being upon a third reading,

On motion of Mr. McCreery,

The further consideration thereof iifas postponed,

And the bill made the order of the day for this Thursday.
8 1/2 o'clock, P. M.

The House then proceeded tp the consideration of the next
order of the day,

Being the bill entitled an Act to appropriate the sum of
twenty-five thousand nine hundred and torty-four dollars and
sixty cents, to pay the various mechanics and others the
amounts due them for work and labor done, and materials
furnished for the construction of an Iron Steam Vessel for
the State of Maryland, for the use of the Oyster Police Force.

Said bill being upon a third reading,

On motion of Mr. Marbury,

The further consideration thereof was postponed,

And the bill recommitted to the Committee on Claims to
report the same by to-morrow, 1st instant, at 12 o'clock.

The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay the claims of A. C. Matthews,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill Entitled an Act directing the Comptroller of the
Treasury to cause to be paid to Brice Shipley, a sum of money
erroneously paid into the Treasury by the said Brice Shipley,

Was read a second time and ordered to be. endorsed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Howard Central
Turnpike Company,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Chestertown
Gas Light Company,
