1172 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 31,

Mr. Blake, Chairman of a Select Committee, submitted the
following

REPORT.

To the Honorable,

The Senate,and Home of Delegates:

The Joint Special Committee, appointed to control the ap-
propriation of twenty-five thousand dollars, made by the two
Houses for the purpose of furnishing the Governor's mansion,
beg leave to report that they have discharged the trust com-
mitted to their hands. They have purchased what furni-
ture they thought requisite for the Governor's mansion, and
have left in the hands of the State Treasurer one thousand
three hundred and forty-six dollars and seventy-three cents
of the amount appropriated.

All of which is respectfully submitted.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the bill entitled an
Act to repeal chapter 295, Act of Assembly, 1868, entitled
an Act to amend Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title " Guano," by adding thereto the following sections re-
lating to the inspection of all fertilizers other than guano,
and to substitute the following sections relating to the in-
spection of all fertilizers other than guano, and to substitute
the following in lieu thereof, endorsed " Passed by yeas and
nays," with proposed amendments:

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Strike out all after the word "entitled," at the beginning
of the first line of the title, and insert the fallowing:

An Act to repeal ail Act entitled an Act to amend Article 4,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Guano," by add-
ing thereto the following sections relating to the inspection of
all fertilizers other than guano, passed at January session,
1868, chapter 295, and to enact and add an additional Ar-
ticle to the Code of Public General Laws, to number 113, and
titled "Manures and Fertilizers."

By the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Act
entitled an Act to amend Article four, of the Code of Public
