more county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend an Act, psis.sed at the
January session, 1868, chapter 161, entitled an Act to incor-
porate the Frederick and Emmittsburg Railroad Company,
extending said road and the time for commencement and com-
pletion of the same.

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the removal of
gates from the public roads in Caroline county, and public
roads dividing said county from adjoining counties,

, Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled a Supplement to an Act entitled au Act
to authorize the persons therein named to build a Methodist
Meeting House on the public grounds in Chestertown, Kent
county, passed at November session, 1801, chapter 3*7,

Was read a second time, tind ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

On motion of Mr, Blake,

At 1 1/2 o'clock, P. M., the House adjourned until Monday
next at 12 o'clock, M.

MONDAY, January 24, 1870.

The House met, and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Father Freitag.

Present at the call of the roll the following members :

lins, Ehlen, Gardner, Marshall, Hoblitzell, Neill, Murdock,
Sword, Seibert, Watkins, Wilson, of Allegany, Myers, Percy,
Jordan, Winters, Crouse, Merrick, Gorman, Crawford and
