The House then resumed the consideration of the un-
finished business of the morning session,

Being the bill entitled an Act to repeal all those sections
of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws for the City of
Baltimore, title "Inspections," from section 272 to section
567, also, the following Acts supplementary and amendatory
thereto, to wit: the Act of 1861, chapter 35, Acts of 1862,
chapters 116, 199, 254 and 283, Acts of 1864, chapters 189,
328, 339, 346, 369 and 384, Acts of 1865, chapters 6, 165,
192 and 194, Acts of 1867, chapters 148, 241. 368 and 381,
and Acts of 1868, chapters 128, 295, and 458.

Said bill being upon a second reading.

Mr. Cooper submitted the following amendment:

Section 3, line 2, strike out the word "one," and insert
the word two.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Gorman submitted the following amendment:

Section 3, line 2, strike out the word "May," and insert
