Mr. McLane, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the rules
being suspended,) reported favorably,

A bill entitled a further Supplement to an Act entitled an
Act to incorporate the Baltimore City Passenger Railway.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Carroll, (the rules being suspended,) presented the
petition of L. Byrne and others, protesting against the pas-
sage of a law to prevent cows from running at large in Pikes-
ville and within two miles of said village.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county dele-
gation.

Mr. Harrington, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the
rules being suspended,) reported favorably,

The Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of the Cam-
bridge Harbor Internal Navigation and Wharf Company
without amendments.

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Brown, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the rules
being suspended,) reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate "The Church Hill
Tide Water Canal Company."

Which was read a first time.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills :
The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Towsontown
Gas Light Company.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the erection of a
true meridian line standard in each county of this State and
to provide for the protection of the same.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Internal Improvements.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bills:

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Town of Sud-
lersville, in Queen Anne's county,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 63, of Article
81, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Revenue
and Taxes," and to re-enact the game with amendments,
