Mr. Hammond submitted the following amendment:
Chapter XX., section 6, strike out all after the word
"year," in line 6, to the end of the section.
Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Bowlus,

The vote by which the following amendment submit-
ted by Mr. Merrick to sub-section "Miscellaneous," line 2,
strike out the words "full term for which they were severally
elected," and insert the words : until their successors are ap-
pointed and qualified as provided for in section 2, chapter 2,
was adopted,

Was reconsidered.

The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
amendment.

On motion of Mr. Harrington,

Mr. Hammond submitted the following amendment :
Title "Miscellaneous," add at the end of section 1: the
Judges of the Circuit Courts in the respective counties, are
empowered to fill any vacancies which exist or which may
occur in the present Board of County School Commissioners.

Which was adopted.

The bill, as amended, was then read a second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.

On motion of Mr. Oolton,

The House at 11 o'clock, P, M., adjourned until to-mor-
row morning, at 11 o'clock.
